Gill Electric Service was founded in 1932 to provide residential energy to rural areas. Today, we design and install distribution and transmission lines for both industrial and commercial electrification projects. As a leading contractor in Texas and Oklahoma, we have served over 40 cooperatives and investor-owned utility customers. Our leadership in industry associations and contributions to establish regional safety standards have helped make Gill Electric one of the most respected utility contractors in the South Central territory.
Safety has always been a top priority for Gill Electric. In 1971, we helped establish the Contractors Job Training and Safety Association for contractors in Texas and Oklahoma, which is credited with significantly reducing accidents. This association eventually became the model for the national Power and Communication Contractors Association Safety Program.
