Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with experience in the Utility Construction Industry who will provide overall management direction for challenging projects including developing new business opportunities relative to a high profile client, in the Northern New Jersey geographical area.

Preference to New Jersey Licensed Electricians

TYPICAL DUTIES:

- Participate in the planning and formulation of solutions for utility construction projects;
- Develop and administer project budgets and fiscal controls, contract and quality control provisions;
- Perform cost estimating in partnership with our Corporate group; oversee all aspects of day-to-day management of construction projects;
- Monitor and coordinate work performed by field staff; ensuring that project operations are completely safe and in compliance with client requirements as well as with state and federal policies and regulations
- Research and prepare reports pertaining to operations, equipment, policies and procedures, and/or other issues as necessary.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

A minimum of eight (8) years experience in a Construction Project Manager capacity.  The successful candidate must be able to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize employee performance; and must have strong working knowledge of labor unions.  Thorough understanding of Corporate and construction industry practices, process, standards and their impact on project activities are vital.  Superior communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this position.
