Journeyman-Level Conventional MachinistThe Machinist reports to the V.P. of Engineering, and works within the Engineering Design Group to provide manufacturing insight into the design process. The successful candidate will possess not only excellent machining and fabrication skills, but also great mechanical skills and experience assisting in the design and manufacture of new parts and devices. Candidates must be independently motivated to provide high quality work within scheduling deadlines. This position will also require the manufacture of production part runs as needed. Additional duties will involve assistance with the design and fabrication of engineering test fixtures and the QC of incoming production parts. In short, this person will serve as not just a machinist but a subject matter expert on machining and fabrication issues.
